  • Teaching Geometry in the Primary Classroom by Linda Picciotto

This book describes the “station approach” my colleague Debbie Marchand and I developed to teach a variety of geometry lessons. We combine the students in our two early primary classes when they go to eight stations, a different one each week. They learn about geometry while participating in “hands-on” activities. A complete description of each of these activities along with recording and information sheets for each station is included, as are forms to help teachers manage the stations. The activities can also be used individually as whole-class lessons. Pre- and post-tests are included.
