Learning to Solve Math Word Problems

Learning to Solve Math Word Problems in the Primary Grades is a description of a problem-solving method I developed for my primary students which involves asking them to make sketches to help them solve a variety of word problems. Included is a discussion of the approach and a collection of 30 different problems at different levels that can be used or adapted by teachers to meet the needs of the students.
