This is an 11-page booklet outlining many activities that engage learners in reading and writing lessons. In "message of the day" the teacher writes sentences on the board while students watch and participate. During or after this writing exercise, the teacher gives "mini lessons" about grammar, spelling, word families, rhyming words, printing, editing, and so forth. Other activities described are Hang Letter, Correct the Teacher, and Missing Letters. Students enjoy these lessons, so they focus well. They are fun for the teacher, too!
